Customers who don’t wish to use a credit card may want to pay for online purchases using their preferred Local Payment Methods (LPMs). Due to the fact that card payments are not always the preferred method of payment in certain countries, these solutions are currently becoming more widely used. However, as new consumer groups have access to fast internet and mobile connections and are keen to engage in international trade, there are still regions that need assistance to catch up with demand.
Nikulipe’s CEO Frank Breuss was recently interviewed by Banking Hub on the provision of LPMs in Fast-growing and Emerging markets, the growth potential in the e-commerce business, and new technologies in payments. Nikulipe wants to enable customers from such markets to participate in international E-commerce by integrating underserved countries into the global economy.
To do this, the company simplifies access to LPMs for Fintechs, PSPs, and their merchants while resolving the challenges associated with cross-border payments.
