Many opportunities exist in Uganda for e-commerce businesses planning to boost their market reach and revenue potential. Here are a few relevant examples of factors to consider choosing Uganda:

● Between 2015 and 2020, internet users in Uganda increased more than 3 times. Large investments into internet infrastructure enables a sustainable growth of e-commerce in the country, with a rate of over 15% year over year.

● Compared to other African countries, Uganda has a relatively high level of financial inclusion; 36.6% of the population has a bank account, and 18.6% has a credit card. Still, Mobile Money Payment Solutions are the predominant method of payment with almost 16 million regular users (62% of population older than 15 years).

● Already significant Ugandan e-commerce market of over 930 million USD still has plenty of room to grow.

The e-commerce sector in Uganda is expanding quickly. With strategic investments into infrastructure, it has a lot of room to grow in the near future.
